Medicaid - Human Services Transportation

Medicaid covers only medically necessary transportation to and from a Medicaid-covered service.  Travel to and from any pharmacy is covered.  For transportation outside of a member’s medical service area, a referral from a member’s primary care physician is required.

​You must have the following to be eligible for transportation:

•  A valid Kentucky Medicaid Card

• Must be traveling to and from a Medicaid-covered service.

•  No vehicle can be registered in your name or household

• Live in the following counties: Boone, Bourbon, Bullitt, Campbell,   Carroll, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Gallatin, Grant,  Harrison, Henry, Jefferson,  Kenton, Madison,  Montgomery, Nicholas, Oldham, Owen, Pendleton, Powell, Shelby, Spencer or Trimble County
